WHICH BREWING METHOD?

PAPER FILTER

Easy to learn, difficult to master but produces a clean cup, free of sediment. Suitable for those who prefer clarity of flavours of rich and strong bodied coffees.

FRENCH PRESS

Easiest technique to start for beginners and no-fuss coffee drinkers. Great for coffees brewed strong and paired with dairy and sugar.

ESPRESSO

Super fast way of brewing coffee also means you can get things wrong super fast! Needs a fair amount of proficiency if you wanna repicate the barista in your favourite cafe, plus quality equipment too). However the payoff great as you can make cafe quality drinks like espresso, americano lattes and cappuccinos.

NOMAD

New kid on the block. A manual pump version of the espsresso machine that’s easy to use makes very good espresso. Very versatile and easy to get great tasting, cafe quality espresso. It doesn’t have a milk steamer though.

STOVETOP/MOKA POT

Poor man’s version of the espresso machine and used through out Italy. Quick and easy way to make espresso but also prone to overheated brewing and difficult to be consistent.

AEROPRESS

Super geek contraption, remarkably versatile (can brew intense shots to light delicate coffees) and easy to clean and wash. One of our favourite techniques

SUPER AUTOMATIC

Brainless, one-button all-in-one machine that can grind, brew and clean itself. Great if you have the budget but it can only make the espresso that are generally lighter than the Espresso’s from a manual machine.

NESPRESSO
